Lesson Program

Lessons are offered for children ages 5 and up and adults of all ages.

All new and beginner students at Heathermoor Farm Riding Academy start with private riding lessons. Group riding lessons are offered for intermediate and advanced riders. Riding lessons are scheduled by appointment and are available Tuesday through Saturday, mornings and evenings. We are very flexible and will try to accomodate everyone the best we can. Riding lessons are about 30 minutes long; the duration of the lesson is all riding time.

Please note: at this time we do not offer trail rides of any kind.

 

Cost:

We offer a tuition based system for riding lessons. Lessons may be purchased individually, or by monthly tuition. All lesson packages are be due on the 1st, and late on the 5th. All packages expire on the last day of the month.
 
We do have a 24 hour cancellation policy. If a lesson is canceled without 24 hour notice, it will not be rescheduled. Lesson rescheduling is up to the customer. If Heathermoor cancels for any reason, the lesson will be able to be rescheduled. 
 
There are times we are gone to a show. Please pay attention to our show schedule, published here, and schedule lessons accordingly. There are several times in the year when a month has 5 weeks, if you attend all your lessons in the month, you will get a bonus lesson! 
 
Single Lesson - $60
 
4 lesson per month package - $190
8 lesson per month package - $360
12 lesson per month package - $500

What to Wear*:

  • Long Pants
  • Tennis shoes or Paddock boots - NO COWBOY BOOTS, PLEASE!
  • Helmet (optional but recommended)
