At Heathermoor Farm Riding Academy, we are not only dedicated to teaching riders how to be good horsemen and horsewomen, but we also strive to help students be good citizens.  This philosophy also holds true during horse camp.
Day camp is designed for beginner to intermediate riders, seven years of age and older, who are interested in learning the basic skills of horsemanship.  Aspiring young horsemen and women having little to no experience around horses will learn hands on how to groom and tack the horse he or she will ride.  Campers learn safety around the barn and horses.  They also participate in discussions about horse related topics, including horse psychology and vital signs of the horse.

Team building is a strong focus during the week.  Campers work in teams to help each other get horses ready for lessons.  Participants also learn how the rider and horse work together and how each contributes to the ride.  Finally, the riders demonstrate their teamwork in a drill team performed for parents and friends at the end of the week.

Cost:

$350 per week. A $25 discount is offered for each additional child from the same household that is attending the same week.
